Overview
The client for this project is a mental health counselor who serves adults struggling with crippling issues like grief, depression, and anxiety. The client is a solutions-focused therapist who believes in equipping individuals with practical tools to better manage and overcome certain situational problems.
The client served as my subject matter expert as I learned more about proven strategies for de-escalating and managing one's anxiety, including grounding techniques and thought journaling. After gathering the learning content and doing some of my own research, I sifted through design inspirations online to create my visual theme for the project.
I developed a mood board, initial layout, and final visual mockup on Adobe XD. I sourced graphics and customized them in Adobe Illustrator to fit the color palette and visual theme before importing them into my Adobe XD layout. I received feedback from the client and went through several design iterations before achieving the clean and visually appealing look I desired.
Adobe XD Visual Mockups
A quick and iterative design process allowed me to create a visually appealing and easy-to-use support tool for individuals struggling to productively manage their anxiety. The client was very pleased with the final design of the decision tree and was excited to begin empowering individuals through its use.
